This garden had a steep bank (raising over 50ft in height) leading into a woodland area on their property.

The family including two young children had to climb and scramble up the steep bank to access the woodland area; which was hazardous after wet, frosty periods.

Therefore steps were dug in every 2 ft with a 6-8 inch rise, the steps were then supported at the front with treated anti-rotting timber (tannelised) and stakes to keep them in place.  To assist with grip and comfort after wet periods, frost etc; the path was covered with a bark.

Since completion in late winter (05) the family have been able to use the path / steps during and after all weathers with increased ease.
